Here are some pictures from our day at Nose Creek. Students were very engaged in their learning. It was great to see them interact and work with the Grade 9 students.

Here is some important information about our multi-day field trip next week...
Monday: Nose Creek Pond Tuesday: Panorama Hill Pond (previously Harvest Hills) Thursday: Vivo Pond What to pack: - weather appropriate clothing (dress and pack in layers) - bagged lunch, snacks, water - good walking footwear (boots if the snow persists, rubber boots, running shoes (with extra socks)) - hat, mittens, scarf - sunglasses Please note each pond location was specifically chosen to ensure access to bathrooms for students. Students have been paired with a grade 9 buddy. They met on Friday, got to know each other a little bit, and played Prime Climb (a math game). At each location, students will be gathering water samples A special message from Mrs Bennett:
Eric Walters will be coming to speak to at our school on Monday, November 12th. Every student will get to see him and most classes are currently reading one of his books in class. Students may bring one of his books to sign. For more information about him please visit his website : http://www.ericwalters.net/ I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving with their friends and family.
A couple updates and reminders: - if you are able to volunteer at the field trip next week, please email me. - if you know any veteran's please contact me, as we are looking for one to speak at our Remembrance Day assembly on Friday November 9th. PLEASE!!! Be practicing multiplication up to 9x9 with your son and daughter. Moving into our multiplication unit, this is essential to student success.
