INFO FOR Tuesday June 11th - 5A students, please use this link to connect you to the many different flyers in Calgary. These will help you create a grocery list with prices for the food items, as well as the party decorations. Use the budget tracking sheets provided in class to help organize this work. REMEMBER if you buys 3 bags of chips for $1.99 each, you will need to add the total in your tracking sheet as well.
https://www.redflagdeals.com/in/calgary/flyers/ ** If you can't find what you are looking for here, you can look at stores individually...but this link has all the prices of items you can imagine. If you get stuck on pricing for something VERY SPECIFIC, write it down and put a star beside it - we can chat when I am back at school. Have fun!

Students learned about rotation, reflection and translation. They demonstrated their knowledge of these concepts through tessellation art. Take a peak!
Students did a FANTASTIC JOB with their zoo projects. They were able to calculate area, perimeter and volume for their animals. On top of that, they worked with scale and sized down their zoo to something more manageable in size. Students were so invested in the learning process!
Students can expect to have their zoos marked by Wednesday and can bring them home at that time. In the month of June, we will be finishing up some work around shapes and space and then will move through looping in content we have already covered. The thought behind this is that students will get the chance to practice some foundation skills again! I will do my best to keep the blog updated at this time so you know what we are up to! |
